Have you ever noticed how beautiful pictures are when the subject reflects the morning light? I took this beautiful shot in a local garden. I walk by the garden almost every day, but this morning was different. The beauty it held was striking as it reflected a different light onto a common subject.

Occasionally, our relationships are like that as well, aren't they? Each day we pass by and through the familiar, possibly not noticing the beauty we once held dear. Let me encourage you, it is there. You just need to pause and stay a while. The light reflected from one's soul is much more valuable than the flowers in this garden. Still having trouble? Shine your light and care onto that which needs your affirmation and you just might see the other person reflect that joy back to you.

Take time for a simple "hi," a compliment, an extra pause or moment of care. Time is precious to you and to those around you. Be present in the moment. Don't leave too soon, because, just like this picture, the moment will soon pass, and you may not experience that moment again.

Challenge: Nurture the relationships of those you care for today! Do something different, say something special, let them know you care for them. You may be surprised at the response!
