phrase of vote
1. a vote showing that a majority continues to support the policy of a leader or governing body.
Would you vote "yes" for your marriage if you were to vote today? This may be an easy answer for some of you. For others, this may be a season or time when it would be difficult to answer "yes." This is NORMAL, but if you are on the edge, what are you doing about it?
Today we exercise the freedom to vote, but do we always exercise our freedom to encourage positive change in our relationships and marriages? Or do we "forget" to vote and go on with our day?
Some people may not vote "yes" due to challenges that have developed in their relationship. Many young married’s find differences that feel like a surprise wake up call. When situations go unchecked and are not immediately addressed, challenges can grow into even bigger challenges. Couples married or committed for some time watch concerns grow from a small "annoyance," into something demanding professional help. (For those that seek help - it is a good thing).
Let's face it: no marriage or relationship is perfect, and the time you invest to talk about out these challenges today will pay off in spades for years to come! Let's take an example: the checkbook. Not always a comfortable spot for folks, but one that seems to need addressing on a regular basis. Minor positive adjustments and conversations help keep you on track with your goals, and the dividends (possibly literally) will be built up and return to you in positive numbers!
